We believe that sharing what we learn & how we conduct our research is both important & fun. Outreach efforts in the group include engaging in community events, working with journalists, & collaborating with artists to reach broader audiences than those who read our peer-reviewed papers.

Will gave a public seminar as part of Bay Nature's talk series. The cover story for Bay Nature's recent issue focused on how bioacoustic techniques are unveiling the rich but cryptic lives of sperm whales, including discussion of our recent paper about sperm whale migration.
Had a blast collaborating with the brilliant Maddie Go on this video about how we developed our pelagic predator-prey observatory (aka "blue whale observatory"), and what questions this integrated system is allowing us to answer.
We worked with the Science Communication team at MBARI to put together this short video explaining how we can interpret sperm whale behavior just by listening
